About the NJF
The Dutch Juggling Convention (NJF) is the largest event in the Netherlands for juggling and other circus disciplines. This annual festival brings together jugglers, acrobats and circus enthusiasts of all levels for a weekend full of workshops, performances and fun. Whether you're an experienced juggler or throwing a ball in the air for the first time, the NJF offers something for everyone!
What's there to do?
As the name suggests, the focus is on juggling, but the festival offers much more. In addition to juggling, you can engage in unicycling, diabolo, acrobatics and other circus disciplines. There is even a separate acrobatics hall with plenty of room for both ground and aerial acrobatics.
Thanks to an extensive program, there is something new to discover every day:
- Workshops and training: Learn new tricks from experienced jugglers or share your skills with others.
- Non-stop practice: The sports hall is open from morning until late at night, so you can train a lot.
- Open Stage: Show off your act on stage, or come and watch the surprising performances of others.
- Games: Play or watch fun games, such as who can juggle 5 balls the longest.
- Galashow: On Saturday evening you can enjoy a spectacular show with (inter)national artists in Theater de Leest.
For jugglers of all levels
The NJF is open to everyone: from absolute beginners to experienced performers. Every year there are even participants who learn their first juggling moves at the festival. Thanks to the many workshops and tips from fellow participants, you can make great strides in a short time.
Atmosphere and accommodation
The NJF is organized entirely by volunteers under the motto: “for and by jugglers.” This casual and cozy atmosphere makes the festival extra special. You can spend the night at the campsite which is a few minutes' walk from the sports hall. Would you rather come for a day? You can do that too!
